Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child

This year MACC is participating in Operation Christmas Child.  Along with the shoe box gift that you pack, children also receive a colorful presentation of the Gospel in their own language.  If you would like to help, empty shoe boxes (and information about OCC) will be available in the lobby, but you can use any regular-sized shoe box if you already have some at home. Filled shoe boxes should be returned by Nov 12th.

K-3rd grade will be learning about OCC during Club Craft on Oct. 29. 4th and 5th graders will be having a packing party during both Sunday School hours on Nov. 5. Donations of items for the shoe boxes or money for shipping are welcome.

We have about 25 more slots available to work in the local OCC Processing Center on Tuesday, Dec. 12th from 6-10pm. The PC is the last stop for shoe boxes before they are shipped overseas and is always a lot of fun! The work requires a standing position (seated tasks are VERY limited) and all volunteers must be ages 13+ (regardless of school grade). Email Melissa or sign up in the lobby.

If you, your life group, or your family would like to know more about OCC or need support in any way regarding OCC, please don’t hesitate to contact Melissa.
