Welcome Newcomers!

MACC’s CELEBRATE RECOVERY meets weekly in-person on Fridays from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 256. Childcare is provided.

THE PURPOSE OF CELEBRATE RECOVERY is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12 steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, victories and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.

WHAT IS CELEBRATE RECOVERY?

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups and habits. We all have hurts and if we don’t walk through them authentically with Jesus, we can get hung-up and pursue destructive habits. CR is a lifeline to anyone looking for freedom!

WHAT HAPPENS AT CELEBRATE RECOVERY?

There are 3 main components that make up the Celebrate Recovery program:

LARGE GROUP – This is where we all come together to participate in worship and to hear a 12-step recovery centered teaching or a personal testimony of a changed life. On testimony nights, we hand out chips to celebrate the milestones of freedom.

OPEN SHARE – This is the time we break into separate gender and issue-specific groups where each person is safe to share their struggles and victories with others who share their similar hurts, hang-ups and habits. We consider this a “face-to-face” experience.

STEP STUDY – A Step Study is a personal journey through each of the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery in a confidential gender-specific group led by a someone who has completed a study. The step study is where we get into the heart of the program and true healing from lifes' hurts, hang-ups and habits occur. We meet on different nights of the week.

GOD’S PROMISE - “I will restore you to health and heal your wounds’” Jeremiah 30:17a (NIV)

As we progress through the principles and the steps, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – JESUS CHRIST!

"Bitterness, hatred, revenge is just as addictive and destructive as drugs, alcohol and relationships." Celebrate Recovery is for everyone! Do you have a hurt, hang-up or habit that you would like to be free from?
